The term Hire A Hubby was coined all the way back in 1994 in Melbourne. A friend of the founder’s wife literally asked is she could “Hire Your Hubby” to get some jobs around the house fixed. Since then the business has certainly found its feet, boasting the largest Handyman Franchise Network in Australia. We’re also proud members of the Franchise Council of Australia which supports the franchising industry and its customers.

Our certified, insured, and police-checked handymen operate nationwide, each running their own business and carrying photo ID for your peace of mind.

While known for small jobs, we also handle larger projects like kitchen and bathroom renovations, pergolas, and decking (licensing permitting).

At Hire A Hubby, we take pride in our Corporate Social Responsibility. Operating nationwide gives us the opportunity to support communities across metro and regional areas through two key initiatives close to our hearts.

After several Hubbies missed our annual conference due to prostate cancer, we saw an opportunity to make a difference. Now, every Hubby donates $1 per invoice to raise awareness for men’s health across Australia.

Our commitment led to the creation of the ‘Man Van’—a mobile initiative launched at our 2015 Uluru conference to raise prostate cancer awareness across Australia.

As of April 1, 2023, we’ve doubled our donation to the PCFA to $2 per invoice.

Locally, our Hubbies regularly give back—supporting PCYC, planting school gardens, and sponsoring local footy teams.
